Wandering through the salvage yard
Driving down the old country road at sunset, I pass the salvage yard. Relics from the past, cars that my grandparents drove, hit by the evening sun, call me to stop and gaze. Things are different now. Dashboards are padded, sharp edges have been rolled and curved. Steering wheels have lost their character, though they are now less of a hazard in a collision, and they are filled with all kinds of tech. I like to take a moment and appreciate a glimpse into the past.
