The San Antonio Museum of Art Shows Matisse

Henri Matisse (1869-1954)
Master of color and lines
Painter, Sculpter

The San Antonio Museum of Art has several floors of art to enjoy, ranging from Egyptian to Indian, Chinese and Japanese, along with Greek and Roman artifacts in abundance. However, the star of the museum for the last several weeks has been the Matisse collection on temporary display.

A person can study his simple yet elegant line drawings as well as several of his scupted pieces.

But the best part of the show, in this humble artist's opinion, are the paintings. They explode with emotion through the use of bold primary and pure colors and the use of strong lines and patterns.
Come back tomorrow to see a few of my favorite paintings!
