Last week was a brutally cold time for central Texas. The wind blew, snow fell, and it seems like everything green froze. The last of the pecans fell off the trees, as well as most to the remaining leaves. There is a beauty in the starkness of winter, but I long for the warm, sweet breezes of spring.
