The Ducks Need Water, Too

Summer is almost over.
I went to Landa Park, a nice park in New Braunfels, Texas that is centered around the Comal River and the springs that feed it. There weren't many kids at the park, but there sure were a lot of ducks.

Here are a few of my favorites...

This guy is standing in the stream. Can you see how much water covers his feet? Not much, is there? We really need rain....days and days of gentle rains that replenish the aquifer but don't flood the rivers and streams.

The drought in Texas is awful. It is hot, sooooo hot, and there are no clouds in the sky. We need rain. It's not just the yards that are suffering, not just the crops, not just the cattle. The wild birds and animals are suffering.

Let's pray for rain!
